Elin Choi (Viola)
Elin Choi is a sophomore at Cupertino High School and has been playing the viola for 5 years under Yunsun Kim. She is a member of the California Youth Symphony Senior Orchestra (25-27) and Korean American Music Supporters Association (25-27). Elin has participated in All State Junior String Orchestra (24-25) and Principal Viola CMEA Bay Section Honors Orchestra Event 2024. She has placed 2nd place in Silicon Valley Music Competition 2025 as a Viola Quartet and honors mention for the same competition in 2023. Outside of music, Elin likes to crochet and hang out with friends.
Jaejoong Kim (Cello)
Jaejoong Kim is a sophomore at Los Altos High School. He studies cello with Eric Sung. He has received honors at the ENKOR competition and USIMC chamber division. He has also participated in the California Junior High All-State Orchestra and performed at the Junior Bach Festival.
Jesse Kim (Violin)
Jesse Kim is a sophomore at Fremont High School. He began studying the violin at the age of six with Jiwon Evelyn Kwark.
In 2026, Jesse was selected to perform with the California All-State High School Symphony Orchestra at the CASMEC Conference. He was also invited to perform at the Junior Bach Festival (2025–2026). Jesse currently serves as Concertmaster of the Fremont High School Chamber Orchestra and previously served as Principal Second Violin of the KAMSA Youth Symphony Orchestra in 2025. He is excited to return to KAMSA this summer.
Jesse has earned recognition in several competitions, including Diablo Valley College Young Artist Concerto Competition, the U.S. International Music Competition (USIMC), and the Silicon Valley Music Competition. He also had the opportunity to participate in a masterclass with violinist Danny Koo.
Outside of music, Jesse is a dedicated soccer player for MVLA Soccer Club, where he competes as a striker in the ECNL league.
Jimin Oh (Clarinet)
Jimin is a sophomore at Lynbrook High School. She has been playing the clarinet since 2021 and currently studies under Hye Min Yun. She was part of the California All-State ensembles in 2025 and 2026. She also placed second at the 2025 Junior Winds of KAMSA Competition and first at the US International Open Music Competition in 2026. Outside of music, she enjoys art and golf, participating in her school girls’ golf team.
Jisoo Park (Violin)
Jisoo Park is a sophomore at Leigh High School and studies violin under Elbert Tsai. She began playing the violin at age 9 and has earned numerous awards and honors, including First Prize at the Silicon Valley Music Competition (2026) and Charleston International Music Competition (2025), Second Prize at the ENKOR International Music Competition (2026), and the Gold with Command Performance Award at the CMEA State Solo & Ensemble Festival (2025). She was also invited to perform at the Junior Bach Festival (2026). Jisoo was selected for the CASMEC All-State Orchestras from 2024 to 2026 and was honored to serve as Concertmaster of the Junior High School Concert Orchestra (2025). She also served as Principal Violinist of the CMEA Bay Section Orchestra (2024). In 2026, she performed in a masterclass with violinist Fabiola Kim.
Jisoo is currently a member of Young Chamber Musicians (2026), the California Youth Symphony Senior Orchestra, and the KAMSA Youth Orchestra (2023–2026).
Outside of music, Jisoo enjoys playing golf on her high school varsity team and watching movies with her friends and family.
Yoon-Jae Park (Oboe & English Horn)
Yoon-Jae is a Cupertino High School sophomore participating in the school’s symphonic band. He is a former member of the California Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (CPYO) and currently serving in the Senior Orchestra of the California Youth Symphony (CYS).
He has been participating in the Korean American Music Supporter’s Association (KAMSA) Youth Orchestra since 2025 and played as a chamber musician at the Young Artists Foundation in 2025. During the summer of 2026, he attended Juilliard Summer Music and the Music Academy of the West.
Outside of music, Yoon-Jae participated in a Competitive Swim Team for 3 years and is a Junior Scuba Diver.
Erika Song (Flute)
Erika Song is a Sophomore at Pioneer High School. She has been playing the flute for five years and currently studies under Dr. Ray Furuta. Erika made her debut at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in 2026. She has won first place in various competitions including the American Protege, Charleston International Music Competition, San Francisco International Innovative Music Competition, and US International Open Music Competition. She is also a prize winner in the KAMSA Music Competition and Silicone Valley Music Competition.
She serves as the first chair flutist and piccoloist in the Wind Ensemble at her school. She was the second flute Principal in the Associate Orchestra of California Youth Symphony (CYS) and is currently an active member of the Senior Orchestra of CYS.
Outside of music, she enjoys reading, bowling, traveling, and going to concerts.
April Yun (Violin)
April Yun is a student at Liberty Baptist School. She began playing the violin at the age of 8 and has continued to develop her passion for music through years of dedicated study. She is an active member of her school’s orchestra and will be joining the California Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (CPYO) for the 2026-2027 season.
April has earned recognition in several music competitions. She received the Artist Grand Prize at the 2021 Young Artist Music Concours and was awarded 2nd Place in the String Solo Division at the 2026 GSACS Music Competition. These achievements reflect her dedication, perseverance, and passion for musical excellence.
Outside of music, April enjoys spending time with her friends and looks forward to continuing her musical journey while sharing the joy of music with others.
