Elin Choi (Viola)

Elin Choi is a freshman at Cupertino High School and has been playing the viola for 4 years under Yunsun Kim. She is a member of the California Youth Symphony Senior Orchestra and Korean American Music Supporters Association. Elin has participated in All State Junior String Orchestra (24-25) and Principal Viola CMEA Bay Section Honors Orchestra Event 2024. She has placed 2nd place in Silicon Valley Music Competition 2025 as a Viola Quartet and honors mention for the same competition in 2023. Outside of music, Elin likes to crochet and hang out with friends.

Jaejoong Kim (Cello)

Jaejoong Kim is a freshman at Los Altos High School. He studies cello with Eric Sung. He has participated in the California Junior High All-State Orchestra and performed at the Junior Bach Festival in 2025.

Jesse Kim (Violin)

Jesse Kim (Violin)

Jesse Kim is a freshman at Fremont High School. He began violin studies at the age of six with Jiwon Evelyn Kwark. With a deep passion for music, Jesse has been recognized in numerous competitions, including the Diablo Valley College Young Artist Concerto Competition (2025), USIMC (2023), and the Silicon Valley Music Competition (2020, 2021, and 2022). He was also invited to perform at the Junior Bach Festival (2025) and has participated in a masterclass with violinist Danny Koo. His favorite solo piece to date is Chaconne by Antonio Vitali because he loves how it combines expressive variations with technical challenges and emotional depth.
Jesse currently performs as a student guest artist with the Celeste Stella Trio, a distinguished Bay Area ensemble of classical musicians and educators. He has appeared in benefit concerts and special performances for children, and he especially enjoys sharing music with young audiences in playful and engaging ways. His genuine love for kids and passion for making classical music approachable shape his performances.
This year, Jesse also served as principal second violin with the KAMSA Youth Symphony Orchestra.
Outside of music, Jesse is a dedicated soccer athlete with MVLA Club, where he plays as a striker in the ECNL league.

Jimin Oh (Clarinet)

Jimin Oh (Clarinet)

Jimin is a freshman at Lynbrook High School. She has been playing the clarinet since 2021 and currently studies under Hye Min Yun. She played in the California All-State Junior High School Symphonic Band and placed 2nd in the Junior Winds of KAMSA Competition in 2025. Outside of music, she enjoys art and playing golf. She has joined the Lynbrook girls’ golf team.

Jisoo Park (Violin)

Jisoo Park is a freshman at Leigh High School. She started playing violin at the age of 9 and has received various achievements since then. She is the recipient of her middle school’s Top 8th Grade Musician Award, the National School Orchestra Award, and she is a founder of the Union Middle School String Ensemble. Additionally, she won first-place awards in both the Silicon Valley Music Competition and Charleston music competition in 2025. She obtained a Command Performance Award at the California Music Educators Association (CMEA) State Solo and Ensemble Festival. She has also gained awards from the 2025 EnKor International Music Competition and the 2025 Great Composers Competition. In addition, Jisoo participated in the California All-State Junior High School(JHS) String Orchestra in 2024 and had the honor of being the concertmaster for the JHS Concert Orchestra in 2025. Along with this, she was invited to participate in the CMEA Bay Section Orchestra and served as the principal violinist of violin 2. She has also participated in KAMSA youth orchestra in the past two years and will participate again this following summer. She is currently a member of the California Youth Symphony’s Senior Orchestra and will join them on their tour to Japan next year. Outside of violin, she enjoys playing golf and basketball with her friends and family.

Yoon-Jae Park (Oboe & English Horn)

Yoon-Jae Park (Oboe & English Horn)

Yoon-Jae is an oboist who attends Cupertino High School as a freshman and plays in the school’s symphonic band. He started oboe in 6th grade, and is currently a member of the California Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (CPYO) while being a student under Yeseul Park.
In 2025, he played for the California All-State Junior High Symphonic Band, received a “Command Performance” in the CMEA (California Music Educators Association) Solo Ensemble Festival, and was accepted into the Korean American Music Supporter’s Association (KAMSA) Youth Orchestra.
Outside of music, Yoon-Jae participated in a Competitive Swim Team for 3 years and is a Junior Scuba Diver.
