Hanz Baek (Violin)

Hanz Baek, a junior at The Harker School, is a dedicated student in the Conservatory Certificate program, serving as concertmaster for the 2024–2025 season. He began playing the violin at the age of six and has since earned numerous accolades. In 2024, he won first place in both the American Fine Arts Festival International Concerto Competition and the American Protégé International Piano & Strings Competition, leading to performances at Carnegie Weill Hall. He also received recognition in the EnKor International Music Competition.
Hanz has been with the California Youth Symphony Orchestra (CPYO) since 2020, first as concertmaster of the Associate Orchestra. He won the CPYO Concerto Competition in 2022 and again in 2025, earning solo performances on both occasions, and will serve as concertmaster for the 2025–2026 season.
In 2023, Hanz was named the California State winner in the OPUS Music Competition and was selected to perform with the California All-State Orchestra. He performed at the Junior Bach Festival in both 2023 and 2025, and in 2023 earned the Command Performance Award at the California Music Educators Association (CMEA) State Solo & Ensemble Festival.
In 2022, he won first place in the San Francisco International Music Innovation Competition (SFIMIC) and received Superior ratings at both the Virtual Spring Music Festival and the Virtual Solo Festival hosted by CMEA.
Beyond music, Hanz is a nationally ranked competitive archer and a STEM scholar, recognized as a USA Biology Olympiad Semifinalist and a state medalist in HOSA’s Dental Science competition, while actively leading in research, volunteering, and medical career-focused student organizations.

Natalie Kim (Flute)

Natalie Kim is a Junior at Archbishop Mitty Highschool, class of 2027. She played piano for a couple years, but found her passion for flute in 2019.
Natalie has won awards in the 2024 Classical Music Competition, taking 2nd place, and the 2024 Season 1 Universal Starts Music Competition in gold prize.
She has been a part of wind ensemble both in middle school at Valley Christian Junior High and during her freshman year at Mitty.
At school, Natalie is a member on her school sketch comedy team, the vice president of ASB and is actively involved as a captain on the AMHS speech and debate team.

Olivia Park (Viola)

Olivia Park (Viola)

Olivia Park is a junior at Leland High School where she participates in her school’s chamber orchestra. She originally played piano and began playing viola at the age of 10 under Yunsun Kim. She currently studies under Dimitri Murrath.
This is her second year of being a member at the San Francisco Youth Symphony Orchestra. Prior to that, she has also played in the California Youth Symphony for 2 years and the California All State Orchestras for 4 years.
Olivia has recieved awards from the United States International Music Competition, Silicon Valley Music Competition, KAMSA (Korean-American Music Supporters’ Association) Competition, and the Prima Volta Music Competition. She has also played in the KAMSA Youth Symphony Orchestra for 3 summers and HopeBox Charity Youth Orchestra for 2. Besides playing the viola, Olivia enjoys playing piano, crocheting, and hanging out with friends. 

Chole Cheon (Piano)

Chloe Cheon is a junior at Presentation High School. She has been playing the piano for 8 years and currently studies under Ms. Soojin Bae. Playing music through the piano allows Chloe to articulate musical interpretations and emotions in an artistic light. She has participated in numerous competitions over the past years, winning 3rd prize in the 2024 London Classical Music Competition, 4th prize in the 2025 American International Music Competition, 1st place in the 2021 Bay Area Music Association (BAMA) US International Competition, and 2nd place in the 2021 San Francisco Innovative Music Competition (BAMA).
Apart from music, Chloe enjoys fine arts, reading, and takes interest in psychology as a career by participating in leadership positions within psychology clubs at school.

Enoch Kim (Cello)

Enoch Kim (Cello)

Enoch Kim is a junior at Leland Highschool and has studied cello under Scott Krijnen and James Lin. He is a member of the Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra, where he enjoys his true passion for chamber music with his quartet. Enoch studied chamber music with Zakarias Grafilo, Eugene Sor, and has played masterclasses for members of the Alexander String Quartet, Apple Hill String Quartet, and Thalea String Quartet.  He is also a member of the Leland Highschool Chamber Orchestra, and has been invited to the 2025 Coda Honors Orchestra. Outside of performing, Enoch actively teaches chamber music to young musicians.
In his free time, Enoch enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and his black labradoodle. 

Jihoo Won (Piano)

Jihoo Won (Piano)

Jihoo Won (16) is a junior at Monta Vista High School. He began studying piano at the age of 8 under Mrs. Hyun-jung Cho and successfully completed the Level 10 Certificate of Merit in 2025. Beyond music, he is a member of Monta Vista’s varsity baseball team and the school’s robotics team.
