Taelin Kim (Viola)
Taelin Kim is a junior at Archbishop Mitty High School. She plays the viola and also has an experience with violin for many years. She is a member of the CYS Senior Orchestra. She has contributed to other orchestras such as CPYO, KAMSA, CODA Honor Orchestra, and the All State Orchestras. She won awards in Silicon Valley Music Competition, American Protégé International Competiton, and US International Music Competiton.
Taelin enjoys playing a role in Academy of Music and Arts for Special Education (AMASE) where she converses and teaches music to students with special needs. Besides music, she is part of Mitty’s varsity golf team and has won numerous awards in tournaments.
Kayla Park (Oboe)
Kayla Park is a 16-year-old incoming junior at Saint Francis High School who has been playing the oboe for four years. She is a member of the CYS Senior Orchestra and continues to perform with the KAMSA Youth Orchestra for the second consecutive year. Her dedication to musical growth is further highlighted by her recent completion of the Colburn Summer Chamber Music Intensive.
An accomplished young musician, Kayla has earned top prizes at numerous prestigious competitions this year. In 2026, she achieved first-place finishes at the World's Best Musicians Competition, the Silicon Valley Music Competition, and the American Protégé International Music Talent Competition (Spring). She was also awarded third prize at the ENKOR International Music Competition.
Beyond the concert hall, Kayla is equally dedicated to community leadership, currently working toward her Girl Scout Gold Award.
