Jesse Kim (Violin)

Jesse Kim (Violin)

Jesse Kim is a freshman at Fremont High School. He began violin studies at the age of six with Jiwon Evelyn Kwark. With a deep passion for music, Jesse has been recognized in numerous competitions, including the Diablo Valley College Young Artist Concerto Competition (2025), USIMC (2023), and the Silicon Valley Music Competition (2020, 2021, and 2022). He was also invited to perform at the Junior Bach Festival (2025) and has participated in a masterclass with violinist Danny Koo. His favorite solo piece to date is Chaconne by Antonio Vitali because he loves how it combines expressive variations with technical challenges and emotional depth.
Jesse currently performs as a student guest artist with the Celeste Stella Trio, a distinguished Bay Area ensemble of classical musicians and educators. He has appeared in benefit concerts and special performances for children, and he especially enjoys sharing music with young audiences in playful and engaging ways. His genuine love for kids and passion for making classical music approachable shape his performances.
This year, Jesse also served as principal second violin with the KAMSA Youth Symphony Orchestra.
Outside of music, Jesse is a dedicated soccer athlete with MVLA Club, where he plays as a striker in the ECNL league.
